Worship Night, was first established Once in Rome. The Canon coadjutor of the Church of Santa Maria in Via Lata, Don Giacomo Sinibaldi, in February 1809 made the first test by inviting some fellow council to stay overnight while at the Blessed Sacrament exposed in his Church, to mark the turn of the forty hours.
In the night from 19 to 20 November 1810, there was the first watch in the Church of Santa Maria in Via Lata.
