The Prelate of Opus Dei noted in his homily how seemingly small initial delivery of the new Blessed had enormous consequences: "Karol Wojtyla had great talent and passion for theater, literature, poetry. When the Lord spent his life in a new way calling, he left everything to follow a vocation to the priesthood . Who could have imagined then the significance of that waiver, small in appearance? And yet, that first pronounced himself resolutely, turning entirely to the Lord, have sprung up after so many goods to countless people around the world. "
